Justice for ALL

The truth doesn’t have versions, it just is.

Phil McGraw

Due to the fact that Thomas Ravenel is now under police investigation by the Charleston Police Department, I will not be commenting on Mr. Ravenel during this time. I have been contacted by the Charleston Police Department and I have answered all questions given to me regarding the alleged victim in the new sexual assault charges truthfully.

The newly alleged victim contacted me after my first tweet regarding my mother’s sexual assault allegations towards Thomas Ravenel. Within the course of weeks, she contacted me numerous times and presented me with her allegations regarding Mr. Ravenel. During the alleged victim’s meeting with the Charleston Police Department, she gave the detectives my phone number and I was subsequently contacted by a detective and asked questions regarding my prior conversations with the alleged victim.

Coming forth on twitter in the past month regarding my mother and her allegations, I have always spoken the truth in hope that Bravo and Haymaker Productions would remove Thomas from the show. In my opinion, Thomas Ravenel is no longer an asset to Southern Charm and his demeaning and misogynistic attitude towards women is not acceptable.  Bravo and Haymaker Productions have an obligation to remove Thomas from Southern Charm and offer apologies for allowing Mr. Ravenel to remain on a show where he has consistently demonstrated a pattern of zero respect for women.

As much as I may personally dislike Thomas Ravenel, I still believe he deserves to be presumed innocent until it is proven otherwise. Personally, I pray that the results of this investigation provide each individual with the justice that they deserve. As I have said from day one, the truth always prevails and I will hold onto this with faith in the system.

For the record, I have NOT been approached or intimidated by anyone regarding these new allegations. Nobody has approached me in an attempt to impede this investigation.

The truth has one version. Consistency is crucial. I desire justice for all victims of sexual abuse and for fair trials or mediations for the accused.

My only motivation for coming forth with the story of my mother’s alleged sexual allegations was to encourage victims of sexual assault to come forward and to see Thomas Ravenel removed from Southern Charm. My motivations have not changed. My story has not deviated. My mother’s story had one version.

Justice cannot be for one side alone, but must be for both. – Eleanor Roosevelt
